Compendium of Soil Fungi, Second Edition
By Klaus H. Domsch, Walter Gams,
and Traute-Heidi Anderson
Second edition, taxonomically
revised by Walter Gams
Since the first edition of
Compendium of Soil Fungi a considerable amount of literature has been
published on the classification and identification of the species. This book is
a unique compilation of the widely spread literature on the commonest soil fungi
in both temperate and tropical regions, many of which are of industrial,
phytopathological, and medical importance.
It includes short monographs on
about 400 species, providing an exhaustive treatment of the ecology, taxonomy
and physiology of individual species. The data for these have been derived from
over 7500 publications which are cited in the
extensive reference list.
